Wow I have been a bad blogger 2010 was my last post cannot believe where the time has gone.

Well what has happened I have had a lot of health problems the Panic attacks are a big issue atm but I am on meds and they are keeping me in check. These attacks came to a head in May this year when I was looking after a child at work and had to call the paramedics I was in a bad state of affairs and needed the first aider on call they had to take me home and I had to see the Dr the very next day who put me on Diazapan and was off work for 10 days. I had to give my job up lucky for me I had a office job to go to so that's what I am doing now in the office of a glazing firm.

I have been doing some Christmas cards which I will upload at some point this week there are loads so will choose some for you to look at I have done quite a few which I have recycled from last year.

In August I also got engaged to the love of my life no wedding plans yet just going to see what happens.

Lets hope I can keep up to date with this blog.

Large Christmas Cards.

These are large cards A4 or just over A5 size.

The father Christmas one is for my youngest son I have decoupaged this and in one part its 5 layers.

This is a piece of scrapbook paper which was too nice to cover up so cut into 4 photos and used them on cards matted onto antique gold card.

This I bought as a sticker which wasn't peeling so instead I matted it and used it as a topper.

Above is a 3D peel off which I placed on lavender paper and ribbon and used a lilac card to put the peel off on and just used a celebration banner.

This football card was made for my boyfriend from my boys I used a Kanban football topper and football peel offs

Above is a large square card which is glitter embossed and just used a sticker mounted onto acetate this one is for one of my American friends.

These are glitter stickers which I put on acetate and used the new vintage PM papers.

This is the card I have made for my boyfriends birthday he is football mad unlike my two sons. I used some sport paper and football items peel offs and a banner and some grey card with a Kanban image of a footballer. Just hope it looks ok to him.

I took part in a Disney Cj over on UKS this was the first themed CJ i have been in and because it was Disney too I just loved it. I received the journal back late last week and and just love all the entries so thank you to each and every one of you that took the time and effort to complete a page for me :) :)

Assorted Layouts

Here are some layouts which I have managed to do over the last 3 weeks. These are really the first lot of layouts I have managed to do since my operation in June it was nice to get back into scrapping and joining a new team over on UKS has really been a big boost to my confidence.

Above is a layout of my nan she was celebrating her 96th birthday in the photo with me and her Great, Grandsons (17 and 15 at the time).

This is a layout of my youngest son on his first holiday abroad to Corfu.

This is my eldest son when he was alot younger on the prom ready for a day on the beach in Wales we just love this place and actually went back there this year and the lads were still full of it.

This is a layout of our only remaining Bichon he is 6 years old and such a active soul or was until 3 weeks ago when his brother died (same age)he is down a depressed little dog but he gets loads of attention from everyone.

This is my 2nd cousin Sophie this was taken in Wales she came over from Belgium to improve her English (which didn't need improving) and we spent 10 days in Wales one summer this was at Celtica do some traditional designs as face painting but she had it on the arm

This is my friends son I used to look after him every day until he went to secondary school and he used to pop in occasionally until that faded with his age lol. I lost contact with him and then about a month ago found him on facebook we have been chatting on and off since and its so pleasing to know he is doing so well at uni and has a gorgous girlfriend.

This is me with my first born son he was 3 months old when this was taken we have always been a close mother/son and even now he is coming 20 he is close and will do anything for you can't believe where all that time has gone though.

This is our Korky It was such a shock to get a phone call this morning saying our cheeky money had died in the night I still cant believe I will never run up and down the garden with him again. But its happened he was 6 years old we dont know what was wrong with him but I am sure my parents will find out.

Korky you will always be with us in memory and we will always think of you. You were too young to die but maybe it was for the right reason we will never know.

Altered Journals

Below are two journals I have altered by covering in papers I got from Lakeland and some assorted threads and ribbons.

Above is the front of the book I added 3 flowers and put small buttons on top of the flowers and just cut a butterfly and a 'Z' out which I put some green and red glitter glue on.

This is just the inside cover and the bookmark which I used a 'Z' again.

This is the front of the book which I put3 pink buttons and a dragonfly charm and just added a 'J' and some jewel brads.

Again this shows the inside cover and the bookmark.

Disney Cjs

Here are the last two Disney Cjs I completed in the Disney CJ over on UKS I have really loved this CJ really bought back some wonderful memories.

Above is the RHS of the Disney Nights CJ this one is Cinderella in the glass coach with her prince charming.

Home Grown Veg

We have managed to grow quite a bit this year including French and runner beans, Cucumbers (normal and the smaller ones), Tomatoes (cherry, beef and salads), Bell Peppers, beetroot and potatoes some of the things are still growing. Here are some photos of what we have had so far.

Above is the beetroot we have pickled this is just a small amount of the jars we have done so looks like we have stock to Christmas and beyond here.

Here is the first two bell peppers off the plant we tried this a few years ago without success so we tried again this year and we have loads on the plant so very pleased with this.

This is a small amount of the beans we picked we have so far managed to freeze 10 large freezer bag full of beans and we still have a few in the vines.

Birthday Card

This is a card I made for my friends daughter on coming 15.

The stamps are the freebie ones from the Creativity Magazine. I used pink glitter card and pink ric rak as my backing and just some ribbon on the edge which I tied in a bow. I added '15' from the gold Peel off s. She is a very girly girl and I dont use pink as I have two boys so was well out of my comfort zone with this card but the daughter just loved it.

This is a 8x8 Cj entry I did in Dragonfly Jane's Cj on her dolls and dolls houses. I used Halloween type colours. The only problem I had with this I hadn't long come out of a sling after my shoulder operation so had to stay with a basic layout. The Cats which I used are also buttons which I got from my local button lady in a Garden Centre.
I really hope Jane likes this layout. I have left room at the top so she can add a title if she wants to.

These again are cards I have made for my stock box so I can just take the cards out as and when I need one. The ones with the ladies on the backing paper again is a freebie one from the Scrapbook Mag and is really nice IRL its white and lavender. The Chinese style I backed onto a rose blow paint style paper and then placed onto 6 x 6 papers which I cut down to fit the card those I got free from a card making book, I am not a pink person but those pink freebie papers are gorgous. Just going to add some finishing touches before they get sent out.

Recycled Card

This is a card I made from a card I was given a few years ago and I cut off the excess added 4 tiny brads one on each corner and backed onto my card-blank. I have yet to add some finishing touches to it but it does depend who gets it to what I put on. The card Blanks I got from a lady at the Peterborough Show-ground a few years ago when I went to the big agricultural show.

Animal Cards

I basically did these cards as cards for men, but they could be used for anything really. The backing papers are all freebies from the Scrapbook Mag which in real life do look better. I just added the topper I made from the photos that should have be for home-made pyramid decoupage and I just matted it onto some bronze and silver card. Some of the cards are finished with banners eg 'Birthday Wishes', 'Just to Say', 'Best Wishes' etc others have been left blank on purpose until I use them.

Yes I know doing Christmas cards in July is Taboo but I have completed all mine now apart from the odd relation. All these will be sent out to friends and these are not totally complete I will add the finishing touches like a Christmas banner just before they get sent. Some have 3D decoupage on the cards others have photo toppers that I have layered and placed on the card.

Here are a couple of Die cut decoupage Cards that I bought I managed to get the glitter everywhere with the big tree but IRL it is well worth it. I have managed to make the large card 6 layers in parts and the smaller A5 card is 5 layers at the base. The problem doing these large decoupage cards is you need lots and lots of 3D pads lol.

I am not sure who the above card is going to but it will be to one of the immediate family.

This is the card I have made up for my parents they will hate the size but love the design.

I had a operation on my Frozen Shoulder on the 7th June I had suffered with it for over two years and decided enough was enough so decided to have the operation. These are the flowers that the ladies who I work with at a primary school (Midday Assistants) bought for me when they knew I was out of hospital. I just love lilies and one of the ladies made it a point to get me some as well as chocolates.

These photos were taken on 15th May we had seen K since we left school oh a very long time ago lol so it was fantastic to meet up with her and have a good gossip about what we have missed. T was in the same year as us girls and I met up with him on New Years Eve after talking to him off and on through Friends and we are now seeing each other and have a fantastic relationship together, even my children (not so young children may I add) like him and its wonderful when your own children get on with your new relationship. We had a fantastic night at my house that night and have since gone up to K house too its just like we have never been away from one another.

I bought these from the Create & Craft store at the NEC last year I think. These are gorgous cards with either a small rectangle or a oval cut out in the front with I put 3D pads on and put to the inside of the card. All the cards have bits of glitter on and IRL are really too nice to use but needs must and my need is space.

This is a layout I did on my friends daughter at her primary school leaving Prom. I did a complete album on the Prom for Jade and just had a few copies of the photos for me. Jade is like the daughter I never had so whenever there is school photos I always get a copy 2 years on and I still get phone calls or text from Jade and a girly glossip which we love to do any problems she always come to me which I am so pleased about I would hate to think she was being bullied and no-where to turn for help.

This layout is all in Lavender tones, with lavender glitter chipboard flowers.

Above is the 'Water' Cj from the Disney Cj over on UKS I just knew what I wanted to do with this one I used to sit and watch this fountain for ages and wait for the fountain dance to the music which came on every hour it was fantastic the photos just dont show this off really.

Below are all the Cjs I have completed on the AMOPs Cj over on UKS I am really loving this Cj and would love to do another of this kind. Just hope the people like my entries.

This is a paw print card I got from Hobbycrafts and just added a cat die cut which I have had for all of 4 years lol, added some ribbon and a banner.

Pink card with some off cut rose paper added some pink ribbon and a tulip decoupage and just added a tab with a brad. I dont work with pink at all so this card was well out of my comfort zone.

Again I used some left over paper added a ribbon and 3D the topper which I made I bought the animal toppers and just added some pearl card to it.

I bought this scraps at the NEC a few years ago along with others and they were just sitting there so thought I would used them with some free heritage page I got from one of the scrapbook magazines.

This is the same as above.

I used some freebie paper I know but might as well use them rather then let them go to waste and just used a tall ship topper it looks good for a male card.

Above is a card I was asked to make by my boyfriend for his niece on her 20th birthday she is into computer but I still wanted it to be girly hence the flowers. She is not a pink person either.

This is a card I was asked to make the only rules were it had to be sexy so out came the red and black feathers to make a skirt to the peel-off bodice.

Its on my bf (great subject me thinks) I took the photos one Sunday morning we have know each other a while really as we went to school together but we went our separate ways me getting married and divorced him staying single till we met on FR and of course got communication going till he asked me out took me 3 weeks to answer him mind due and I have never looked back in my eyes he is my hero.

Here are some cards I have been making recently. They are all for stock except the CD card which was made for a specific person still at school who is well into her music.

Just used for music sheet background paper, a old disc which I put music notes on and stars and just put some ribbon and a 'just for you' peel off on the front.

The above is a 3D decoupage which I set on some scrap paper and just put a banner etc on .

The cards below are all medallion 3D peel off's which I set on different card and layered it and just added paper as a background and some ribbon and then just a banner.

The above is just a teddy card with loads of glitter on.

My Mothers Day

I had a wonderful mothers day this year my boyfriend spent the morning with me which I was overjoyed about and my dear boys 16 and 19 got me wonderful gifts.

The above and below is what my youngest son bought from all accounts it took him ages to decide what to get me and this rose plant is gorgous. I love roses.

Above is the plants in a gorgous pot which my eldest son bought me its gorgous and a pit the photo doesn't show the true colours. They also washed and dried up for me during the day too.

Here is two cards I have made for mothers day, one is for my mum and the other is for my boyfriends mother.

This is one of the large square cards which I backed with pastel pink butterfly paper and added a pink and lavender glitter topper just added a 'Just for you' banner which I added 3D pads to lift it.

On this i used lavender backing paper and a ribbon with 'Mum' on and then added the topper on the one side and a 'All my love' banner with 3D pads to the left.

Here are a few layouts I have actually managed I dont normally like to upload my layouts as they are very basic.

Chipboard Alphas to spell out 'Puppy Love', Some doggie paper which I cant remember the make of, a paw print brad on the hearts and the hearts were cut using my cricut. The photo is of my parents two Bichons aged about 9 or 10 weeks old.

This is a layout of me when I was in Junior school just used loads of flowers, some school stickers, buttons and ribbons all in shades of blues.

This is one of my mother, me and my two boys when they were 4 and 7 at the sea-life centre in Blackpool on one of our day trips out.

Just thought I would make a start on some Christmas Cards. I have done 10 in total so far but they are very similar in design so just uploaded these. They have just some Christmas paper to use as backing with ribbon and a 3D decoupage on the top some with a banner on.

This is the last entry I did for the Eternal Circle Cj over on UKS this Cj was 'A Room with a View' The photos are from the back of my parents house they live right on Green belt land its a nice walk across the fields but looks wonderful when its full of snow.

This is a card I made to a person who is very dear to me. Used A5 size card, added black glitter card, red feathers, Gold peel off letters, 2 red hear shaped buttons, cut some hearts out of red card to do the heart flow and added a heart brad to the front heart.
This is the very first valentines card I made so hope its ok and he likes it lol.

This is a Cj entry I completed about 10 days ago it was part of the CJ Lovers cj on UKS. I just loved this one researching my official name. Juliana I never use that name apart from official documents really. This was a great Cj and I just loved it might borrow this theme for another Cj.

Sunrise

The other week we have a most beautiful sunrise to wake up to, took a couple of pictures to show you but that was the only good bit of the day. You know the Rhyme red sky at night etc well that tune was so correct after the wonderful sunrise we had nothing but heavy rain all day I got drained at least 3 times that day.

Both the photos were taken through my window as I was not going outside in my Pjs what would the neighbors say lol.

This is a Cj I have completed on UKS no photos were to be put on just embellish the page. I used some PM 8x8 papers which I thought was the right size for the Cj but when I measured though PM had short cut me but no the Cj was 8.5" square so I used some pear paper and lavender card for the enbelishments.

I decided to upload some of my layouts - I don't normally load my layouts as I am a very basic scrapper (no imagination). Her are a few I did over August and September.

The above I did for the Chocolate Buttons team challenge on UKS using chocolate, buttons and a stamp. I used chocolate color and cake for the challenge. I used the title 'Yummie' though your can hardly see that.

The above layout is my family a small but neat family just my nan, my parent, my sons, my brother, sister-in-law and step niece. I used paper from £land and basic grey boarder. The horse one I took the photos of this shire horse called Herbie at the Peterborough Showground (agriculture show) fantastic show Herbie did a heavy horse display with the old harness the horses use to wear for plowing the land fantastic day out if I am honest cant wait for the next show there.

This is a photo that is years old can even remember when it was taken but it was the Cradley Heathens that was in the photo is Bruce Penhall, Bobby Schwartz, Phil Collins and Dave Perks cant even remember which track it was taken at.

We had a very good year with our seeds and produce the potatoes were fantastic and tasted even better.
Here are two photos.

Above is part of the main crop of potatoes we dug them up half way through August and we are still using them for our meals. We also grew some long funny shaped salad potatoes which again was wonderful but nearly all out of those.

This is one of the sunflowers we grew from seed we had 3 sunflower seeds and 3 different colors. This was one, we had a pure yellow and we also had a deep bronze going into black.

The sunsets I started watching as I was washing up so stopped ran for the camera and took a few photos yet again and then on another night caught the full moon I took that photo from inside the house as I hate going out at night in this area with all the yobs about.

Birthday /Celebration cards

Here is three (3) birthday celebration cards I did not many as I have quite a few stock piled.

The above card is for someone from work just used a stamp I was borrowing thank Jane aka Dragonfly jane on UKS and added some silver glitter for the bubbles. She loved the card btw to me it was just a simple and very quick card.

The above is a card I made for my God-daughter Courtney's 12th birthday just used a unwanted internet disc and added some banners and peel offs.

Another this is a card for a work colleague who turns 60 next week but wouldn't tell anyone how old till we got it out of someone she is friends with we gave the cards and flowers early as she is spending the week in Las Vegas with the family to celebrate.

Here is a selection of our harvest we produced this year was so pleased with what we managed to grow.

Above our first crop of spring onions we managed another 4 lots after this one.

Our first crop of tomatoes for the year.

One of our funny shaped tomatoes we had a couple but this was the funniest.

This is part of our crop of apples. We bought a patio apple tree in about May and we were just hoping we could bring it on to produce fruit next tree we had a good return for our little tree and btw they are gorgous to eat very juicy

This will be one of our last crops of tomatoes for the year these were picked on 9th October just part of the pick but we do have another load to pick off so maybe doing soup with a few.

Day 8 - 8th August.

The coach we travelled in named: 'The City of Cambridge' fantasic coach and very comfy.

Our last part of the journey home and again up very early 5.40am and was enjoying breakfast at 6.10am the breakfast was very good; fruit, yoghart, cheese, cold meats, toast, bacon etc. Headed off for 8am after handing our overnight cases to Tom at 7.20. We passed quite a few landmarks including a racetrack Micheal Schmacker had set up for the kids and big kids at heart. On our way we passed into Holland, Belgium and finally France and took the eurotunnel (I hate that thing would rather sail anyday). We met up with Nigel who was driving from Switzerland and we met at Eurotunnel. Once into England another change of watches for the correct time and both coaches stopped at Crawley so we could change coaches we were changing onto Nigels coach as he was doing the Hopwood Services, Dudley and Wolverhampton drop offs. Our coach was being used for the Birmingham and Walsall drop offs and a feeder was being used for the Lichfield drop offs. We arrived at our drop off point at 6pm where my Dad was there to meet us it was great to see him again but a huge relief to see my boys after a week away and finding out what they had been up to lol.

Day 7 - 7th August

The above is My mother and I at dinner the night before in the hotel evening meal.

Friday the 7th August we are off on our way back home today so early start. Up at 5.45 and finished putting overnight case together took all the cases down to Tom the drive for 6.45 and then went for breakfast and lots of coffee. Started off from Mayrhofen at 7.55 travelling all day and stopping 3 times. We arrived at the hotel in Germany at 6.20 washed and changed and we were meeting at 7.25pm for dinner buffet style. We are stopping at the Mercure Hotel in Cologne, Germany. Dinner was gorgous and we also had a large glass of wine too. We chatted a while before returning to our room and got most of the things packed ready for the morning. It was very hot in this room even with the air conditioning on I tried opening one of the windows but would oly open so far so we tryed to get some sleep.

Day 6 - 6th August.

We decided to last night to have the last day to ourselves in Mayrhofen.

We got up at 7.35 today because we were doing our own thing and not do the optional tour so we were going shopping and the cable car but which side of the mountain we are not sure atm. The weather is dry and already warm and only just 8am. As we went out the hotel at 9am it was very hot so went back in to change into a sun vest. We wandered round the town and I just happened to land on a craft shop so bought some papers with the mountains on and ribbons and chipboard and wooden pieces for the layouts I would eventually do. The assistant gave me some ribbon as there wasnt enough to sell and its gorgous. Around 11.30 we decided to go up the right side of the mountain (yellow cable cars) so off we went camcorder in hand mun recorded all the way up to 1800m up. When we got there we noticed there was ski lifts to go higher so had a wonder and went on those it was great fun the views were awesome this took us to just over 2000m. when we got off there was a nice pool as we walked round there were millions of frog spawn and the views into the valleys was speechless. We had a cup of coffee which was really good and then carried on walking as I heard the cows and I had to get photos of my cows lol so we walked a few miles to find these cows and then went further there was loads of walking and cycle paths up there. This was where the paraguiders took off too. When we came down to the first stop we decided we would try the Ice cream up the mountain so stopped at this restaurent we had a table outside overlooking the mountains we chose a ice cream and when it came oh boy what did we choose in the glass was 3 apricots, plums, red berries, blueberries, black berries, strawberrys, peaches, 3 different types of ice cream 2 different types of cream a flake and 3 wafers wow but oh boy it was gorgous.

After a little wander round this section we decided to make the transit back down to the main street and I took the film all the way down the skys were busier then heathrow with all the paraguilders. We then decided to have a ride on the local choo choo round the town itself as alot of it we hadnt seen. It had been a fantasic day. Dinner was early today 5.45 as it was the farmers meal (buffet style) We packed our cases in the meantime early so no worries later. After diiner and drinks we went up to the balcony till 9.30 where we watched the street life and listened to the music entertainment below us and generally just talked.

Day 5 - 5th August.

We were up again early at 6.45 to get down for breakfast at 7.30. Its our trip to Lake Wolfgang today. Weather is dry Yay!!!

We set out at 9am and travelled along some stunning scenery we arraved at our destination at 11.45 for lunch at the hotel the company uses for their Austrian Lakes tours. Lunch was wonderful and consisted of Cream of vegetable soup, Beef, carrots, potatoes and a puree of spinach with a sour cream and a strudel and vanilla sauce and of course we had to have a glass of wine but when we had the wine it was a very large glass of wine lol. We wondered round the lake and took loads of photos and film and then round the streets and went in the church and tbh stayed in there longer then we would have normally done it was a beautiful church. We set off for Mayrhofen at 3pm and arrived there at 6pm it was a very long and tiring day but it was beautiful. My mother fell on the bed and fell asleep had to wake her up for evening meal. The weather was very hot today and views clear and spectacular around 30C today

Day 4 4th August 2009

This is a Photo I took from the balcony of the hotel the hotel has a cafe underneath this balcony and this particular night the singers/entertainment decided to walk the little square singing it was wonderful to see and so funny too.

Well Tuesday we woke up at 6.45 to a wet morning and the bells at the church in the high street ringing it must have rung for at least 5 minutes. Mum wasnt too good today her top of the leg/hip hurts, this morning I was in agony too with my frozen shoulder. Musthave been the change from wet horrible weather back home and warm damp weather here in Austria. After breakfast and painkillers we walked to the train station to catch the little train that works the valley up to Jenbach it was a really nice 30 minute ride with gorgous countryside and villages. At Jenbach we changed lines to catch the Cog railway oh that was a fantastic ride all uphill into the mountails and at the top was a massive lake this is where we boarded the boat to take us across the lake to one of the local towns by this time it was raining yet again so we headed for the nearest hotel and it was like the whole party headed for the same hotel lol. We had coffee and a gorgous coffee and walnut cake (very naughty). On our return to Mayrhofen we decided to wander round the town we witnessed a massive funeral in the town church there were loads outside the church too with a screen we later found that 200 from the funeral where in our hotel and the funeral was a teenager (19) who died on the mountains trying to save a young child.

Day3 - 3rd August.

The gorgous Apple Strudel we had at 9,000 ft up the Hintertux.

We both had a wonderful nights sleep and woke at 8.15 and went down for a wonderful breakfast of differents breads, jams, honey, pate, marmalade, eggs, toast, tea coffee and yoghats and fruit. After breakfast had a wonder round the town and came back to take photos of the horses for the 1st group we were on the 2nd group. We wandered round the hotel taking photos it was like a gothic castle with the different thing away in corners. At 10.30 we went on our horse ride it was beautiful the sun was shinging and it was very warm went round the outskirts of the town and saw loads of gorgous houses the ride lasted just over 1hr and then went up town for lunch which was a cake lol no good for dieters in Austria they make amazing cakes mum had a apricot cake which looked just as good as the strawberry one. Once back we changed and met at the coach for one of our first trips up the Hintertux as we headed there it started to rain the cloud came down and was such a pity as when we were up there if the cloud had lifted it would have been gorgous and we would have been able to see for miles the skiers were actually coming down as we went up. This is the glacier that the British team train on. We went up to 9,000ft and decided that because of the low cloud it was a waste to head on up to the 11,000 some did and they said you couldnt see your hand in front of your face. We had a large slice of Apple Strudel with a Vanilla sauce while up the Hintertux and took some photos and film for our DVD. After the trip we generally wandered round and phoned home had drinks and dinner and sat on the balcony talking with other guests it was gorgous.

Day 2 - 2nd August

This was taken from the lounge bacony in our hotel the photo is just over the road I took it once the lights started to come on all the buildings.

These are some of the hops that goes into the German beers took this from inside the coach as we traveled from Germany into Austria.

This is a photo of the French Concorde and the Russian Concordski I took this from the banks of a German Service Station facing the air museum where these were situated.

We were up reasonably early at 6.15am and straight down to breakfast which was rather good and onto the coach for a 8am start Limburg was beautiful what we saw of it and I for one would gladly stay there again.

From Limburg we made our way to Austria. We stopped at a service station for lunch which we had a forrest fruits cake and managed to take photos of the concorde which was in the German Air museum.. We continued our journey it was hot we were in 30C. So think we were glad of the air conditioning in the coach. As we made our way though Austria we had snow, heavy rain and thunder storms not a very good start to our holiday. We arrived at the Neue Post Hotel at 5.15pm it looked gorgous from the outside we were told we were in room 16 on the 3rd floor yes I know 3rd floor for such a low number we opened the room with a key not a card and wow the room was wonderful it was very big the beds were comfy which I had to try out lol abd then you walked into the bathroom I just burst out laughing the window had clear glass the hotel opposite which is the annexe to our hotel could see righ in. We had views of the main street and the mountains. Dinner was at 7pm this is where we were introduced to everyone properly we were sat at a table with a couple the same age of my parents and a single lady a bit older then me. Dinner consisted of a comsume' soup with strips of pancakes in, pork in breadcrumbs with chips and veg and a coconut cake it was nice the pork was very dry though. Mum and I returned to our room and chatted we had wine in the room which we had a take out from the coach and as we were chating the thunder took hold yet again it was massive the rain was unbelievable it was like a river coming down the streets we ended up chatting till 11pm but those bed wow they were comfy the best nights sleep I had in months.

Holiday Day1 1st August

Our day dawned bright and early, it was a early start for us I was up at 5am to sort things out and leave notes for my two boys (16 and 18). Dad picked me up at 5.20am to be in the pick up place at 5.30am. The coach arrived at 5.40 and has us all board and off for 5.50am great start and on time he was such a young driver and good for such a big coach. We had a nearly full coach when we got on and was heading to Hopwood Services where the feeder coaches were waiting for us to load the last of the passengers. Then it was onward to the tunnel (I hate the tunnel much prefer the ferry). Upon reaching France it was really warm but it was not till we reached Belgium and got out for lunch that we realised how hot it was 28C wow it was nice to feel the sun after all the rain at home. Mum and I didnt feel like having a meal so decided on our first piece of cake a strawberry tart it was tasty but very expensive. We continued our journey into Holland and then Germany and made our way to Linburg. We arrived at our hotel The Golden Tulip in Limburg at 7.03pm, this town is also twinned with Lichfield. We were booked into a wonderful room overnight on the 2nd floor. The fun was trying to get into the room it was a card ush in and out right - no. It was put the card in the slot, pull the door knob and twist lol the fun we had trying to get in and there was five families really close who we could not do the door lol we did in the end but laugh bet the germans thought they had a load of nutters in town. We both had a bath before we ventured into the town and off we went we walked upto the catherdral and took loads of photos we both walked with just capped sleeves it was so warm eventually finding a wonderful pub/restaurent wooden tables and benches, shields coats of armour etc fantastic would love to stay here longer but never mind after dinner had a steady walk back to the hotel after looking in the shops lol.

Well I went on holiday to Austria using a coach company it was a long time in travel to get there but we stayed overnight in Germany there and back before continuing our journey to Austria and coming home.

Mum and I had a fantastic time there the company was awesome and the courier and driver brilliant would easy reccommend the company.

Anyway once I have sorted the photos out will be doing a day by day journey on my blog of our holiday.

For this holiday we did 3760km (2336 miles) up to Crawly service station and used 1,178 Euros of petrol with 3/4 of a tank we started with and left with 3/4 of a tank.

Here is another section to the secret garden/walk it was a wonderful walk with lots of different areas.

This was taken from the Japenese garden area it was gorgous.

These roses are English roses with a perfume and were stunning.

The above is a close up of the bush below I actually have this plant I bought it as a memorial to my cat I didnt realise it grew that big until I saw it here and nearly fell over with shock I am glad we have ours in a pot so we can control the size.

Well I did say I was trying to get up to date with my blog. Here are some photos of our flowers and some produce which my Ds1 has managed to grow and some are verrrrry good.

The above is my DS in his greenhouse tending to his tomatoes and cucumbers.

Above is one of the smaller cucumbers he managed to grow I sometimes tell him they are corgettes in disgise. They are rather big cucumbers.

This is the first lot of carrot balls we managed to grow we have since then got another 2 loads and there is another ready to dig out the garden too. I was so proud of him with his carrots.

Above and below are photos of a couple of our Lupins we love lupins and must have about 7 different plants in the raised bed colours vary from white, deep blue, light purple, pink and some other colours which we are not sure of yet.

Here is a lilly which we didnt realise we had we knew we had loads in the pots which should have been white and orange and ended up with deep red and white but this was a shock to us and the colour is gorgous.

We were given this plant last year and took it out of the pot so it went into the garden to go natural with all the snow and cold we thought we had lost this plant until we noticed in June it started to flower now all the others except the one we kept in the pot have flowered.

The above are large daisys my DS agreed to have a few daisys which my father put in a bag all balbs along with other flowers so just using pot luck we planted in the raised bed and put the rest in the front and in pots we now have a carpet of daisys its looks gorgous but I think most will have to be moved at the end of the year lol.

The above are what my DS grew from a very small seedling and transfered to a pot when it was big enough so many different colours he did a wonderful job.

Well here I am trying to catch up with my blog this entry is the CJs and card I did in July.

Above is a card I made for one of a casual dinner lady collegue she was 60 just after we left work her birthday being on the Sunday as we finished on the 17th we arrange a bouquet of flowers for her too.

This is the Coast Cj I did I found this quite hard as all the coastal photos I had my two sons were in every photos so I took a different route and downloaded some pictures from the internet. I added a number of different pictures and added text under it and put some shells on each page.

This is the one Cj I was not looking forward too it was far out of my comfort zone and it was Gothic characters I went for teh Fallen Angels the only thing I know about Goths is they used Black, Purple and Green. I used Black and red for this layout and it seems to have worked ok with the subject I chose.

This last week has been a sad time its was two years ago this week that we had to make the hardest decision of our life and have our wonderful cat Jess put to sleep.
The anniversary was friday the 17th by the day but the 20th by the date.

Favourite Place Cj

This is the Cj Lovers Cj that I am doing on UKS. I love all these subjects as everyone is so very different. this one was on 'My favourite Place' it could have been in the house, garden, day trips or holidays. I chose my last holiday to Disney Florida where we stayed in the Coronado Springs Resort in Disney it was fantastic. I took my mother on this holiday who is anti Disney and came back loving it and telling everyone how fantastic the holiday was and how wonderful the hotel was.

This Cj was made from Coffee Filters and think I am going to copy the idea if I can.

Cats

My cats they can be such horrors one day and such cutie pies the next. Bless them for all the different characters they are I love them to bits.

My eldest cat he loves his comfort - I had just taken the winter blanket off the bed when this photo was taken and bam he jumped straight onto it and made himself at home and went to sleep.

This is my little terror always into something or other, here he is trying to get under the tablecloth which he didnt quite do and it was great fun watching him try. He had me and my DS1 in stitches watching him.

Birthday Boy!!!

On the 17th June my youngest son Andrew came the right old age of 16. He left school in May at still only 15 which I still think is not right especially as he is a SEN child.

Anyway here are a few photos, we celebrated with a special dinner of his choice, champagne and cake. He was overjoyed with what he had for his birthday and his brother gave him money which was even better as he couldnt make up his mind what he would like.

I went to Webbs garden centre a few weeks ago and they were selling a few houseplants and flowers off at discount prices so decided to get some along with a new much needed hose pipe.

this Gerbella I got at £2.99 instead of £4.99 its a really rich red which is standing on my pot stand in the lounge at the moment and when its hot the complete stand goes outside.

This orange one was on the TLC stand it was really in need of lots of TLC and we got it for £2.00 its gorgous and is on the stand with the red on

This one is a beauty and the photo doesnt give it its true colour. Its Oatmeal with a pink lip.

This is a bunch of Freesias which Webbs were selling off at £1.00 and these flowers lasted 2 weeks in my house just couldnt believe it in the house and lasting so long.

This is the Favourite Poem Cj from the eternal Circle CJ on UKS I just love this poem brings tears to my eyes. The other is a card which I have made from an oddment of paper and an old birthday card.

The above card I used 4 spotty blooms and layered them bother and used a brad each on top of some scrap scrapbook paper and then added the words on the left from an old birthday card so part recycled card.

Home Town Origins

I signed up for a circle journal the other month on UKS it was the Eternal Circle Cj and because I like history I decided to do Home Town Origins. Meaning was your town origially called what it is today where did the name come from. My town is Anglo Saxon and means Two Windmills which it did originally have two windmills and the one is still there to this day.

This is my front cover the letter were cut from the cricut and I used a chipboard shape which I used a green stickle to give it a bright colour.

This is the LHS of my double layout.

The RHS of the double layout the photos are of the village how it used to be and boy have things changed and the Crooked House pub where a marble runs up the railings rather then down.

Here are two (2) baby girl cards which I made the other week one was for me to give to my friend who had just become a Grandmother she was over the moon with the card and the baby it was wonderful to talk to her about the wee thing. Just waiting on photos now. The bottom photo is a card I made for a friend to give to the same person.

Here are some cards I did for a card swap on UKS and some for my stock.

The above is just some A4 paper which I have added a banner and some ribbon and stamped the image and added 3D pads.

The above is the same stamp and birthday paper but I have added cream ribbom to both sides.

The above and below photo is paw print card which I have added and used a Bichon dog stamp and some ribbon and banner.

All these cards I have used foil paper, or the paw print card and added ribbons, banners and just used the amimal stamps onto either the gold pearl card or white pearl card and used 3D foam pads to higher the image.

My Birthday

Here are a few things I had for my birthday and Yes I had craft goodies too yipee. I was so pleased with what I received the people involeved really looked into my likes and dislikes.

This is my cat Tommy who loves to knock down cards this I caught him as he was knocking all the cards down they went like an avalaunch lol it was so funny to watch him.

Above and below is from my dear friend and teamie Jane I had a gorogus gift from her and all that I use too. The double sided tape and 3D pads I am always using as I love decoupage.

This is off one of my teamies Sandi I have two teenage boys so this will be great for their pages as they are 16 and 19 I can't put kiddie paper with their photos so just love this.

This is from Sue another of my teamies I open this and just loved the buttons the new papermania collection of stickers I was shall I or shall I not buy but didnt buy it and so glad because I received one in my birthday gift which I will be playing with very soon.

The above is the birthday present I got from joining the May/June Birthday Swap on UKS I just loved the papers that she sent me but everything was so chosen for ME. Its woderful.

The above and below photos are what my children bought me for my birthday I love these two programme and I got box gift sets of the programmes - Well done boys!!!!

Birthday Card

This is a birthday card I made for a friend at work I used a hot pink card with one of my embossing folders which in places gave it an old look and then I stamped the image on glossy white pearl card and inked round the edged. I placed 3D foam on the back to raise the image. I just added 2 flowers to one side.

Here are two cards I have done one for a friends birthday and the other is part of a swap I am doing on UKS.

The above is a card I did for my friend I kept the background plain as she is not a all singing all dancing person so just added a banner and the stamped image to the card.

Here is the card I am doing as part of the SWAP on UKS I have made them all the same except the flowers are all different colours. I stamped onto glossy card and shaped it then inked the edges and used 3D foam on the back. The card is embossed with the old Script embossing folder.

This is a Cj I am doing over on UKS. Its the Cj Lovers cj and this one is on 1987. I decided to do a news article on the Sea Disaster in Zeebrugge.

Its just a basic DLO with brads and a couple of buttons.

Here is my youngest cat Sunny he is only 4 years old but what a mischief maker he is.

Sunny sleeping in the sun he is just like a baby.

Here is a layout I did on Sunny you can take loads of photos of this cat of mine but the other cat Tommy he runs like the clappers when he sees the camera is out.
